I painted this during the pandemic, when online life drawing still felt new and unknown to me. Sylvana always started a session with a tarot card pull from the deviant moon tarot deck which set the tone and inspiration of the session. The artwork from these sessions always came out magical and childlike. This particular session focused on the raw power of the summer solstice while honoring the shadows that always remained beneath.

In general, when artwork is displayed on walls it is best to avoid direct and constant sunlight. Do not permanently store original artworks in a humid or hot environment such as basements or attics. All works of art are unique and should be handled with care.
