New York Cat (Lyra Hoop) Original
New York Cat is a local aerial performer and energetic Gemini. They love art, creative expression, and the joy of performance. They spent countless hours posing for artists over Zoom, blowing our minds with their flexibility and strength. It was especially challenging for me to draw having not painted much in years, but I always faced the challenge with as much jubilation as there was uncertainty. This particular session, Cat brought out the lyra hoop and neon lights, which created a lot of interesting visual moments to capture.

- Created with a variety of archival, lightfast materials including Case for Making pan watercolors, Golden SoFlat Matte Acrylics, Caran d'ache Neocolor II watersoluble wax pastels, and Platinum Carbon Black In
- Painted on archival, Canson®XL® Mixed Media paper, featuring heavyweight (98lb/160g), medium grain texture

In general, when artwork is displayed on walls it is best to avoid direct and constant sunlight. Do not permanently store original artworks in a humid or hot environment such as basements or attics. All works of art are unique and should be handled with care.
