I experimented with acrylics here, and went over several portions of the drawing out of frustration. I didn’t like this painting at first, but it’s grown on me over time. Anne Lamont says, “Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you insane your whole life.” I think in accepting this piece, I’m letting go of my own self oppressive thoughts of what my creative process should look like on paper.
